Superchips Flashpaq for JK, Initial Impressions
I think the vehicle calibration files are largely available now and that's not to say that your specific '08 is good to go out of the gate. If it's not then it's a few days wait to have the calibration file built, go through the QA process and be posted for your individual vehicle.
Hi all,
I can't seem to find the transmission only settings. Where is it ? Would it be possible to get an instant mileage reading or is it there and I did not find it. I need to richen up my fuel settings is that possible ?
I am running a custom free flow exhaust using Glass Packs and the front pipe is burning off the aluminum coating.
Steve
Basically Stock Jeep, Custom Exhaust, moved evap, 32"x16 tires, 115VAC inverter behind the tail light, working on other stuff.

Just got this thing, Downloaded the quick update as directed, updated the FlashPaq, went to the Jeep followed the directions, unit initialized and then came back with a Call Superchip use CODE G-6F -- General Database 3 Error, call them, they left early on Friday, re-read the manual, it said to re-update, tried to do this the update program basically said hey stupid it is already up to date. I would really like to see this thing work.
You might be out of luck until Monday, but here's what I would try first. Before entering into any of the tunes, try reading any DTCs that might be present. If a DTC exists, clear it and try to install a tune.
Mine is working great!
My mileage stock was 17.10-17.56mpg for the 2600 miles it was running on stock 29?" tires.
I added the 35" tires and immediatly tuned it for "mileage xs" gas saving mode. Results are 16.69-16.71mpg. NOT bad... less than 1mpg difference running 35s!
Today I tuned in the 87 octance performance setting. I'll post in a month or two when I get numbers in.

I installed mine on friday and put 600 miles on my Jeep this weekend. 400 were highway miles 16.8 MPG, 180 were in the High Sierrias 15.6 MPG. On the trail I was getting 15 MPG!!!! I used the milage tune for the highway and the Low tow for the trail.
I have better gas milage more horsepower and the response on the trail was great.
I got mine from David at Alpha Expedition!!! Gave me a great deal....Look below he had a few more on the shelf
BTW Iam on 37s

Installed mine this evening. Very impressed with how simple and trouble free the installation was. Noticed that they now have the ability to lock the front or rear axles using the unit. Can't wait for future upgrades like TPMS.
Anyway, back to the unit.
Since I have a tank of premium I used the 93 octane tune, set the tire size (33.25") for my Toyo 35" Open Country MTs.
The best thing I can say is "YOU GUYS WERE RIGHT"!!!
AK4DAVE, tkob1060, JPop, JKsJK, and the rest of you guys, thanks a heck of a lot!!!! I appreciate your advice and input, and thanks for answering my querstions on the programmer.
This is the closest thing to actually having a throttle cable!!
Midrange responce is almost fierce! There is actually reason to rev the little 3.8 now. Before I always commented on the fact that downshifting gave very little acceleration increase, the momentum lost while making the shift took forever to regain.
Anyway, much more fun to drive the sporty little 2 door, you really can haul a-- like some kind of dang fool!
It lugs pretty good, I haven't had any problem with detonation, backfires, pinging, running on, stumbling, or anything. It does have that "feel", at low rpms, of a lot of advance even at heavy throttle input.
I'm actually installing an AEM air filter/intake on my Rubicon as well. And yeah I know about locking a motor up in water. The only motor that survived unscathed for me was an old big block 402 rat, but that'ws a whole 'nuther story from over 20 years ago.
Hopefully the addition of the AEM with the Flashpaq and Volant dual exit muffler all working together will not necessarily give me that much more power, but allow me to use the power that's there with greater effectiveness. My Jeep, being a 6-speeed was not all that far from being acceptably fast. Especially if I add a "road" set of wheels/tires in a set of 34" MTRs/KM2s on the Rubicon rims (no AT for me).
Then I could put the remaining funds to real use buying axles, CTMs, EVO 44 Magnum Axle Sleeves & C2 Gussets, a Rock Krawler Truss, and a couple of skid plates.
