My thoughts exactly.
And David, thanks for the terrific fast service, like I have said before you set the standard!
It's a terrific programmer, and as they add the additional features it'll be even better.

Since this is a device you will certainly want to take with you on the trail, I dug through all my "tactical" gear and found a small Blackhawk utility pouch that it fits in perfectly.

And bgbdwlf, thanks for the compliment on the wheels.
Somewhere there was a photo of Hutchinsons painted black with silver studs/nuts. Now that was a good looking set of wheels!

I keep mine in a ziplock bag just to be safe from the water that sometimes gets in my jeep

Hey Guy..........super glad that you're happy with the Flashpaq... Your JK was badass before, but now even moreso...!!! Just wanted to mention that altho it's good to have the FP in the jeep with you, I do remember reading in the manual to NOT let it sit in a vehicle that gets too hot. So this may be something to remember........ok?
Later.....

Need to get yourself a M-PAC to bolt that MOLLE too.

No pinging sound.

I have only tried the 87 octane tune, and only for about 1/2 a tank so far. I don't have a very long commute (only about 2-3 miles), so my mpg wouldn't be a good place to look.

I didn't buy the Flashpaq (or the Jeep) to save gas... so that's not why I like it so much. I like it because it greatly improves the fun factor of driving.

I hope this helps.

I got to drive the Jeep on my 70 mile commute to/from a worksite today.

I actually passed a truck pulling a trailer uphill today coming home from work! I would have never tried it before, but with the AEM intake, Superchip Flashpaq, both added to the heavy little Rubicon 6-speed (stock 4.10 gears & Volant dual exhaust) I just powered around him and let it rip! The addition of the Flashpaq has given my little Rubicon some attitude now! And it makes the addition of the AEM intake worthwhile.

And this run up the hill was in 4th. Now this was a long hill (at least I could see nobody was coming) and I accelerated in 4th, then 5th, and then dropped it in 6th and held 75mph up the hill. Before the Flashpaq programmer it would not hold speed (60+ mph) in 5th or 6th on this particular hill, and gave just the most meager acceleration in 4th.

What is particularly exciting is that I can now focus on gears, axles, CTMs, 44 mag axle sleeves and C2 gussets, a Rock Krawler truss, and a couple of skid plates rather than fool with some supercharger setup.

Mine came in today.

I made sure I updated it before I installed it and the install went very smoothly. It definitely feels like it has a little better throttle response and goes through the gears a little faster. I did also notice a little bit of a change in the engine tone as well. For lack of a better explanation, it just feels like its not held back anymore. I had a quarter tank of 87 left and filled it up with 93 so I'm running the 91 octane tune in it for now.

The only negative I have to report is the idle is slightly rougher so far and its a hair jerkier driving around parking lots. BUT, it only has like 30 miles on the programmer and I feel confident that will smooth out. Plus, its probably partially me getting used to the throttle input now. I leave for a fairly road trip tomorrow morning and I feel confident it will be running perfectly smooth by the time I get there.

Stock '08 6 speed Rubicon Unlimited with an Airaid CAI and almost 9k miles on it.

I had some initial issues getting used to how I had to feather the throttle letting out the clutch after I installed mine, and it was just me getting used to the Flashpaq. A couple freeway on ramp blasts and you should feel the roughness smooth out and for sure well before your first full tank has ran through.

By the way, it had the stock gear ratio right and the correct TC low range, but the stock tire size was set at 30.75. I changed it to 32 because everything I've read says they measure to 32.1. Is this the correct tire size setting? The gears seem to be at the same RPM/speed as before I messed with anything...

Measure your tire height from the ground to the top of the tire. That will give you the appropriate tire height, ± .25". Same tire, same wheel width and different inflation rates will yield different rolling results, so it's important to do the measurement. Best bet is to calibrate it back to a GPS if you have one available.
