I can't answer your question on weather you'll gain mpg or not. I bought the unit for the added power. I'm going on vacation in sept and I'll use the mileage xs tune for that. Superchips claims gains but I can't tell you first hand.

Did I miss something? Any help? I really think I want to buy this item- but I just need a little more clear info.

thanks
If you're looking for hard an fast fuel economy numbers, don't hold your breath. There are far too many variable from day to day and tankful to tankful. My mileage can definitely swing 2-3mpg per tankful and a lot depends on things that are outside of my control. I did manage to crank through 5 tankfuls on vacation and my mileage was 20+ on the all highway tankfuls rolling around on 35s.

It will give you some better MPG numbers (maybe 1-2 mpg), but a lot of people won't see it, because with the extra power it is hard to keep your foot out of it.

Primarily 70-75mph, but some 60mph stuff along the way from Northeast Ohio to the North Carolina coast. That's also mileage from a 2 door 6 speed which isn't going to suffer from unlocking the converter.
