Once set, wouldn't it be a saved program?

No, same thing for upping the idle. Only active when the programmer's attached.

As for the chatter in reverse I can't figure out how that would be related to the Flashpaq.
i have a auto trans. dont know if the 87 performance setting changes any transmission pressures.

Maybe they need to re-write the software to allow the axles to lock in 4hi without it being plugged in...I don't know how you could change idle without it being plugged in so that really isn't a problem...

Just kind of inconvenient about the locker thing...

Anyway...thanks for the info Jpop.

it doesn't need to shift, so not changing reverse shift points or firmness can't be part of it.

One of the primary reasons I got this was to help my JK from searchin for gears. I had a Procal on it at first which helped GREATLY. I moved the JK back to stock and installed the 87 performance tune, calibrated the tires and did not touch anything else. I don't notice a friggan difference! The whole way to my Jeep run today it was searching for gears and primarily staying in 3rd while doing between 70-75. I haven't felt a difference between the Procal and this...I'm confused

I know that regearing is the only way to get it back to close to stock but I can't afford it right now so please do not mention that. Maybe I just set my expectations too high.
I was driving across Indiana today as well, South Bend back to Cleveland. 20mph crosswinds, temperature in the 90s and I had about 3 mpg less than what I usually do on highway jaunts. I was disappointed as I thought I would be recording some pretty decent mpg numbers blazing through the cornfields.

Anyway, if I was at the race track I would classify today as a pretty bad air day made worse by the winds.

If you have a GPS, select your tire size using it. A lot of people have had some erroneous tire size numbers even when using the recommended SC way to measure them. Besides that, it could be some PCM catching up, but I have always noticed an immediate improvement when going from stock.

If there are any unsatisfied owners of the Flashpaq, I will gladly take it off your hands.

I prefer free, but I am willing to negotiate.

Your right about this. I have fairly new 35x12.50/17 KM2's. I had to go to 33.25 inches on the Tuner to get the correct reading compared to the GPS. It is now dead on.

do you know if in 87 octane setting they change any trans pressure or do they keep it stock?

There are optimized shift points and firmness. I don't know how transmission line pressure plays into this as it's electronic and controlled by the PCM. The three items I am aware of that play into shift points are the throttle position sensor, manifold pressure sensor and speedometer. Beyond that I don't know as I'm a 6 speed guy and really haven't had much of a reason to dig for more information.
