Not a very technical write-up. Just wanted to pass along what I was told...
That's not true the shift points are adjusted automatically when you run any of the performance tunes. Many people that have autos do not need not change their tire size and they see a immediate difference in the JK's shift points. Infact on SC website there will be a option to adjust the firmness and shift point youself here in the near future. I have a 6 speed standard so it does not help me anyhow. I choose my own shift points.

Now I can tell you that I owned the Unichip for over a year and this programmer is 1000% better. You can feel a HUGE difference in performance! Unichip doesn't even come close performance wise! The Unichip dive give me better gas millage than stock but NOT as good as the Flashpaq. Let me tell you this if you have any other programmer sell it. THIS IS THE ONE TO BUY! What I paid for the Unichip I could have bought 2 of these!

Simply put this thing delivers Holy Crap!! Performance!

LMAO!

Nope but when I like something and it makes me happy I let everyone know that could benefit from it...

Especially if I prevent someone else from making the same mistake as I did...

Wanna know what tune give you the most bang for the buck?......

Direct quote from Ron at Superchips...

"Their is not a lot of power made on 87 fuel with our tuning. The 91 tune is the money tune!!!!"

18hp and 24ftlbs of torque at the wheels on the 91 perf tune.

This is true. Significant power increase...but at a price. If I actually use that power, better acceleration, etc. my mileage drops below what I can get at the 87 tune. Still paying more at the pump is much cheaper than most physical power mods.

At the 87 tune, I gain a small amount of performance over stock, plus better mileage. Like most I've noticed here, I am going back to the 87 tune to see just how much I will miss the 91 performance. I have managed to show 18 mpg with the 91 tune, but that is only on long freeway drives using cruise control constantly. It quickly drops to 17 with any traffic and 16 on surface roads. I am all stock.

With the 87 I don't have to strain to stay 17 to 18+ levels. It may be the best compromise tune IMHO.

Recieved Flashpaq yesterday, installed updates and performed 87 tune with tire correction and TPMS.

The TPMS only allowed me to take it down to 26 psi which is useless (sold my sensors with my stock wheels). I checked the radio button on the update which adds the "off-road TPMS disable" but it didn't work. Did it like three times just to make sure. Hmmm...

I will say the difference on the 87 tune is pretty remarkable. Definitely noticable especially starting off in 1st and 2nd gear. Need to train my clutch foot to feather the clutch more. It really acts like it want to go!!

I'm happy so far.

man, i'm not seeing this at all. i've tried both the 87 and 91 (no 93 as i can't find any stations with 93) and i'm not noticing any justifiable difference in the 91. the difference between stock and 87 is great. i don't have a problem paying more in fuel if i notice a performance difference, but that just hasn't been my experience. i should note that the bulk of my driving in the jeep is around town - rarely do i get on the highway or am over 55 mph, so perhaps that's where we are different.

Default Just pulled trigger...

Just hung up with David... 5.38's and Flashpaq now (all it took was him asking if there was anything else I needed ) are being shipped today. Since I won't be doing gear chg until I come across someone reputable in my new area I'll have plenty of opportunity to see the Flashpaq live up to its rep! Thanks to all y'alls input...

p.s. not to hijack, but if anyone has a recommendation on a quality gear shop within say 0-50-100 mile radius of 37391, please, PM me!

nice. can't recommend any shops, but am curious... your sig shows 4.88's - did you buy it with those or did you regear previously and are now going to 5.38's?

Those performance increase numbers must be from stock to 91. That much increase in torque above stock levels should definitely be noticeable.
