Those aren't bumpers...they're gun sights!

Not currently. Perhaps after our next expansion, which will include bringing the laser cutting portion of our manufacturing process in-house, we may be able to do more customizing to our designs. Until then there's simply too much cost and hassle involved to coordinate even a small change like that for a single item in a run of 50.

Wow dblaron, thanks for posting. Looks great. My JKU is black also and I wanted to do the same to the PS Louver and knocker rockers w/ armour that are on their way. Wasn't sure how it would look but my concerns are now replaced with excitement.

Edit: tried to quote but not used to this app just yet.

Went wheeling over the weekend and a fellow jeeper had this on his TJ. I was amazed at how much heat was escaping out of the vents. Can't wait to get mine. This should be a great upgrade.

It looks like you got the updated hardware but the obsolete install instructions. Basically what it boils down to is we eliminated the four "long" bolts and included 4 more of the same size as the rest of them. Then we instruct the installer to use a 1" hole saw to cut an access hole through the underside bracing at those four locations, so the shorter bolts will work and the nut will snug up against the underside of the outer sheetmetal. The reason we did this is because we found out that over-tightening on the long bolts could pull the sheetmetal down into the void between the outer skind and the brace, causing some deformation.

Please feel free to download the updated template/instructions from our website for a detailed procedure on this. But you should already have enough of the short bolts to complete the installation following the updated directions. Please accept our apology for sending out a louver with the updated hardware pack but with the obsolete instructions. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to give our sales staff a call at 951-849-5911 and they can answer any questions for you right away.
FYI
I just got mine today, it was shipped out with the old instructions and template.
Did not notice until I had my hood off (no facepalm on mobile)
Gonna try a combo of template and measuring

myklt8, sorry for that. I'll check our warehouse and see if I can figure out what's up. Maybe they're pulling from early stock that didn't get the templates switched out when they were updated or something. At any rate, please accept my apology for any inconvenience. Just remember you don't need the "long" bolts that are called out on that template. Other than that the template will work OK, it just has you cut out a more intricate pattern than the newer one.
