Exclusive Details and a Chance to Win Two 2018 Wranglers

Why wait to buy one next-gen Jeep Wrangler when you can win two of them?

As we get closer to the official 2018 Jeep Wrangler reveal, we’re learning more about what to expect from the new model. Today, we have news about the all-new JL-Series. We can also tell you how to win a modified pair of your own. How cool is that?

Brian Deegan, X-Games Freestyle Motocross medalist, and his Deegan 38 brand partnered with Barricade Off-Road to build these incredible Wranglers. They’re modified for serious off-road use and include everything you’d expect: A winch, solid bumpers, bigger tires, and more. They worked their magic on both a 2-door and 4-door version.

This is also our first real chance to see a 2018 Wrangler free of camouflage. While many stock components are replaced with tougher, dedicated off-road parts, we can still see some of the significant body changes.

The edges are a little more rounded, which should improve aerodynamics a little bit. The front headlights appear to be aftermarket LED units, but we know that LEDs are also available from the factory. The tail lights also appear to be LEDs.

There are still hinges below the windshield, meaning it should still fold down for off-road use. The outside mirrors appear to have turn signals integrated into them, and the hood still uses traditional latches.

None of the press photos show the interior of the Jeeps, but we aren’t expecting significant changes there. The biggest addition should be a Uconnect infotainment system on higher-trim models.

The four-door model is powered by a 3.6-liter V6, which we’re assuming is the Pentastar we all know and love. The 2-door is listed as a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel. While we expected a diesel offering, this is the first confirmation that the diesel in the JL is the same unit found in the Grand Cherokee and Ram 1500 pickup trucks.

One thing for certain is that a free 2018 JL Wrangler is better than having to pay for one, and Deegan is giving away both Jeeps to one lucky winner. That’s right, you get one for yourself and one for… yourself! We’re just assuming you won’t want to give the second one away.
