Where would you keep your stuff when you are sleeping in the vehicle? Also unsure if you have ever slept in a car before, but when you do it the next morning there is a lot of condensation on your inside windows, etc. I've done it a couple times (in a prior vehicle) and now I really try to avoid doing it. The condensation really makes your windows dirty and spotty; and it bothers me to have my visibility thru my windshield altered. As far as those tents I have seen a few people online who use them and they like them.

My suspension setup is awesome for my purposes as well. the teraflex leveling kit, lower control arms, Monroe reflex monotube shocks, airlift 1000s. I installed teraflex drag links, and tie rod, and steering stabilizer this week. what a difference. The next item being installed is the JKS flex connect swaybar connects. From my understanding and from others, they work great and give a noticeable improvement in ride quality. I need to get some armor rigged up now, I am going with teraflex front and rear diffs, when installing my true tracs, I am going to add skid row front bumper skid to replace the stock plastic, and their evap skid. My jeep is sitting on 33" bfg A/T, on pro comp rockwells. I have truck lites, nokya yellow bulbs in my fogs which made a big difference, and my 55w hid hella 500 driving lights. The hellas mop up every LED that we have tested them against. I have a bunch of other shit going on this spring as well. Overall I am at 185000 on my rig now and no signs of stopping. We do a lot of backcountry running, and more every year with our son getting older and loving the outdoors more every year!

That is true about the condensation. Gear would probably be distributed to front seats and with kids in the tent, they are all three under 4 so still small. Or all gear would stay in the jeep and we would just have access to it from the tent. I'd love a roof top tent but the bigger ones are pretty expensive. might just stick with a standard tent I guess. Although the back of the 4 door with a air mattress was sounding comfy ha ha.

Jeeps rattle when going over washboard like bumpy surfaces. Any vehicle would. Mark's Jeep is set up very differently than mine, but mine sounds the same over the same types of roads and trails. So did my YJ, my Silverado, Blazer, 4 Runner......you get the idea.

Mine was absolutely bone stock when I got her. I did quite a few trips with her that way. The first obvious upgrade was that the stock duelers weren't going to cut it. So I got a set of five rubicon tires and wheels for a great price from a forum member. Next was that being a two door I couldn't fit my gear. Also couldn't fit the stroller my wife wanted with the baby in the back! So I got a Garvin roof rack. That was an awesome investment and helped a lot. But I noticed that when loaded that she sagged quite a bit. Another forum member and friend had just purchased a ruby and immediately had it lifted. Brand new. So I bought his shocks and springs. Numbers were much higher than mine and gave me a lift. 1.5 in the front and 1 in the rear. Leveled it out. Ride was a little stiffer but felt more confident and she doesn't sag now with the weight. Then some offroad lights of course up by the windshield because. Hey. They look cool. Haha Then lastly some steel bumpers front and rear with a 10,500 pound winch and synthetic line. The final I guess mod was a cobra 75 CB and antenna. I feel pretty good about her now. With all of the weight she still sits slightly above a stock Rubicon. I'll likely go through one more set of 32 inch tires before committing to a small lift and 33's. I had 33's on my old TJ and felt like they were perfect as a daily driver and for the trails that I enjoy. I am really looking forward to a set one day. I have limited slip but no lockers. I also have the tow package which gives me the 3.73 gears. She has never not gone somewhere that I've pointed her and always brought me home. I don't beat her up too bad. On my last trip out with some forum members including Mark Doiron I got up on a rock and actually had two tires off the ground. The Jeep was rocking back and fourth like a tetter totter. I was worried for one second thinking that I would get wheel spin and be stuck but nope. I eased out the clutch and she walked right off that rock and i now have a great video of it! Haha Of course all of the upgrades have been over a long time and I follow the mantra of get out there and explore and you'll come home knowing exactly if you really need a mod or not. Thought about a roof rack but I haven't seen one that allows use of the sunrider or easy drop of the soft top without tipping the rack backward. Hopefully I start working on a off road trailer shortly so I can keep any gear out of and the wait off the Jeep. To help with the weight I think I'll go with converting the stock bumper to stubbies with an available kit then debate on a winch or no winch, its really gonna depend on how often I plan to travel with others that are outfitted with one. Even thou it not alot of things it will be over time for sure. Gotta worry about my daughters JK too no doubt.

Slowly and steadily getting my 07' outfitted for more expedition style adventures. A couple years in the making so far and still a long way to go. Just recently installed my Warrior Renegade cargo rack. It was an easy bolt on addition to the JKU, but it is noisy as heck. For those of you running cargo racks on your rigs, do the air dams really make a difference? Around town is fine, but on the highway, it is really noisy. Any insight would be appreciated.

Air dam noise reduction?
I don't have a full roof basket, only a pair of Yakima bars. That being said, I bought an air dam prior to taking a 4500 mile trip last summer, and was very glad I did. The reduction in noise was substantial, and well worth the cost.
