Cheapest Evap Relocate!
If your Jeep is lifed and you have installed new bump stops there is no need to flatten out the bracket..Just follow Sin's instructions.
Not much to elaberate on...Remove the canister..lay the bracket on the floor and hit it with the hammer until is pretty flat..Just be carefull and make sure the canister will still go back on the bracket when your done..If this is to much to stomach get the woods kit...
Once I hammered out the bracket. I cut off about 4 inches. Then re drilled a new hole.. I also notched mine to allow for a new fabricated emergency brake cable bracket..
In any case once the bracket is flat and the canister re installed and mounted. There is no way that it will come in contact with the rear diff..
I used some stainless bolts and washers..Then used Nylock nuts..I used an acrylic/slicone as a sealant around the bolt holes.
If you back a few pages I posted Pictures of the final product.

I hammered the bracket out..The reason was that I felt under full compression the Differental housing would hit the canister. (stock Jeep with no lift)

I did this mod this afternoon. The only problem I have is the hose coming off the gas tank kinked in a few places a little. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this just because it was cold? Will the kinks go away after the hose warms up?
Mine kinked a little too since I didn't cut or alter any factory equip(aside from location). I've never had any problems with codes or any issues at the gas pump with the auto shutoff. I've used the gas pumps from NC to Mass.
(Sorry, I misquoted your quote Whpony96)
This thread is about neither the skid plate nor relocation kit. It's about being a cheap fugger and saving $ and relocating yourself. And it works with no side effects to date.

I put serious thought into relocating it myself because it looks easy enough to do, but because I just got my JK in August I don't wanna screw with the warranty.
Fortunate thing for me was I went and spoke to the Dealer here in town and asked them about it. They told me that If I wanted to supply the kit they would do the relocate and therefore honor my warranty... I hate taking my JK to the dealer but in this case I won't complain too much.

Don't think your vehicle warranty would be affected by moving the evap canister though. there were a couple of threads on that.
It's a very simple mod. It's so easy an H2 owner could do it.
