Wow, so everyone is using a bunch of different patterns now huh? I got the cheapo plastic black gutter guard...comes in a roll. It's the best stuff IMO. Cheap, and it's held up well for almost 2 years now. I spent a total of around $15 when I did it. Got the black outdoor zip ties, and gorilla glued the brackets. Real easy. Here is the best pic I have.

And this is a closer up that shows the pattern. It is really good stuff because it flexes along with the plasticky crappy jeep grill, and it won't rust or anything. It has held up to snow, ice, mud, etc. Everything. And not one zip tie has busted yet. And all the plastic is still in tact.

Funny, they used that stuff for radiator covers in homes way back in the day. Those big iron hot water radiators that took up floor space in the house.

Default Grill Mod

I did this grill mod over the weekend. It turned out great. Got the expanded metal at Ace Hardware. I came in a 16x30 which only needed an inch or two off each end. Home Depot had smaller sections only (12x24) but did have the zip tie blocks and ties. The best part for me was the direction of the diamonds. I prefer them to be vertical instead of horizontal and the Ace piece was cut the right way. Took about 2 hours including the paint drying time. Tin snips worked well on the 13 gauge metal. New member and first posting so I'll figure out how to post a pic soon.

This works great...did it about 2 years ago, and still no problems!
