With an automatic I would look at the advanced trans tune option on the Flashpaq or Vivid. Especially if you don't plan on doing gears right away. You can set your shift points so you don't kick down as much and also have more immediate downshifts when you want it to get up and move.

Also, I really like my Superchips Vivid. I can quickly look at a set of gauges, do my tuning and monitor engine parameters. Made to work with Android devices or ships with one. Definitely cool stuff and a nice way to collect all the features into an easily navigable device.

Thanks, I probably should have stated that it is an auto. Im going orfab front and rear bumpers and carrier, ordered the 2.5 lift and now just trying to decide tire/wheel situation that best suits me. I do more travel/exploring/fishing than off-road parks so my main concern is power loss with bigger tires and the whole re gearing thing. I won't be able to do that probably til next year.

I re-geared and I'm glad that I did. Made a big difference.

I have said it before and I will say it again. Do not waste your $$$ unless you have an auto and then get the advanced trans tuning option. Most of what you guys think you are feeling as far as power gains are concerned is coming from the slight adjustments to the shifting schedule that comes with the tunes that are on the programmer. When you get the additional trans tuning option it makes it much more bearable to drive your jk with upgraded tire sizes and no re-gear. I am now running 33's with 4:88's AND the advanced trans tuning set to my preferences and it makes the jeep drive sooooo much easier. I could not imagine driving it without it. I personally felt ZERO power gains from any of the tunes alone.

I second that. It's what I've said all along. I still find it useful for the other things it can do. I might not have paid so much for it though.

6speed with 37's here. I run the flashpaq on tow tune and 93 octane. There is a very noticeable difference. Your jeep will come alive. PERIOD!

Thanks brother. I really thought this would be the case and wasn't too worried about what a guy with an auto had wrote. There's just no way he would know. Nice jeep btw
