Superchips Flashpaq for JK, Initial Impressions
I Gave up on 2011 Tune, They haven't released it since I got the 2011 Call of Duty black ops when It came out first week. (2010) I am sick of the delay, because it is not freakin Oracle systems or 256 bit encoding, It cannot be this hard to crack, They say they work on it but If it is uncrackable just tell us so we can look elsewhere, But they're giving us a handjob while promising a deep throat blowjob... Which is why I am pissed, I hate my 3.8, its a shitbox of an engine, Even with the K&N intake and magnaflow cat-back, I might go for RIPP if I don't put this shitbox out and put a 6.4 !
The 2011 stuff is unfortunate, but not as if anyone else has figured it out either. The issue exists beyond the JK platform and for that matter beyond Chrysler. The products that are starting to roll out on other platforms are full PCM or ECU replacements and those haven't come easy. Lots of issues and also hefty price tags.
I find that I can hold gear better rolling over hills, pick up some efficiency gains and also have better performance. I also like it because I have the right octane in the tank to switch to the Tow tune for some extra low end grunt.
Switched back from 91 tune to 87 tune.
Shipping away for a month and wife doesn't want to "waste" money on premium gas.
Jeepeh runs like a pig now. 87 sucks!
Why did they even bother with it???

Just installed mine today and the jeep has never run better and I'm not just feeling the effects of drinking the cool aid.
So here is what I had / have. I live in SLC and like to drive my JK to Moab 3 to 5 times a year. I had a 09' JK Rubicon auto with a 3.5" lift 4.88 gear and 35 Toyo MTs. It was ok, no problem on the climbs through Price, UT to 1-70. I would prefer a bit lower crawl, but it was ok. I had 6k miles on my 35s and I found someone that had 37 Toyo MTs with only 500 miles and we traded tires my 5 for his 4. Well this started it running like a dog. I needed to get the the D44 beefed up (RME Bombshell kit) before I go to Moab next weeked and I don't have time to do that and the gearing.
So today I went and pick up the Flashpaq and holy crap what a difference. It actually feels better than when I had the 35s on. The shift points are better and definitely a notice in going up the foothills - steady acceleration without a painful downshift. I'm driving up to Logan, UT Wednesday to have Rock Slide Engineering install the Bombshell kit, which will be a great test since it is a fairly quick climb to round 7500 feet.
Before I installed it I was trying to decide b/t 5.13s and 5.38s but I was worried about the small pinion of the 5.38. Now I'm just going to see how Wednesday and next weekend in Moab goes and if I do regear I will go with the 5.13s as I will looking for a lower crawl ratio than getting up highway passes in the mountains. But at least I can take my time in regearing

OK so here's a noob question! I recently purchased a lift and still deciding on wheels and tires but if I went with 35s and a flashpak with 3.73 gears on a jku would I still need to turn off the OD?
