I am getting between 16 and 17 MPG most of the time, that is down 1 or 2 mpg since getting the superchips tuner. I think most of it is because it is more fun to drive and i get a little more aggressive with the gas.

I am getting about a 1 mpg gain at the 87 Octane setting and about 2 mpg at 93 Octane.

It's winter so getting worse mileage than in the warmer months should be expected. That's not a Superchips issue, but a result of taking longer to get up to operating temperatures and pulling in cooler, denser air.

Thanks for posting this, it's one of the questions I had about switching up from the 87 to 93 tune. Did you notice a decent jump in performance to justify the extra fuel cost? 91 Octane really isn't around here, so that's not an option.

I had the same question. I think I read some posts discussing it on this tread, but dang, after the 300th post...I got tired.

If anyone else can either chime in or remember what the findings were, it would be great.

I don't run the higher Octane fuels in the winter months, don't need the additional power on the wet and snow covered roads. Also, with the longer time it takes to reach operating temperatures, just putting more expensive fuel down the gullet without any real needs for the performance. Spring through Fall is a much different story and with the current costs of fuel, higher Octane fuel in the warmer months makes financial sense with the improved economy and mpg.

That is an interesting perspective on justifying premium fuel.

Around here 87 octane is ~$3/gallon and each additional octane has a premium of ~$0.05 up to a maximum of 91 octane. So at an average of 15 MPG, 1 MPG additional justifies the expense without considerating performance.

Just installed my flashqaq yesterday ,but was very suspicious. Set=up went pretty good, couple of glitches on my part as Im no computer geek, As soon as I drove down the road Im thinkings YES , i got my moneys worth cause I was looking for better pedal response then anything else as the stock pedal drove me nuts, Anyway headed to my buddys house to watch the Jet win which is 40 miles away, in a rain storm. Never hit more than 16.9 on the MPG indicator since my lift and 33s installed ,as Im driving Im watching the indicator, 16.9 OK 17 18 19 20 top out at 21 WOW , and I did adjust my tire size, speedo was right on with my GPS . Im heading on a trip it PA this morn so looking foward to see performance Was it worth it Hell ya
