Superchips Flashpaq for JK, Initial Impressions
Mine never worked out of the box. I can't get past the initial load. I've been going back and forth with Superchips. They send me updates every few days but it still get the same error. Error G-3F. They keep saying they won't give me a RMA number because it's not broke. Alaways the same answer, Our software engineers are working your problem. I've given them almost a month to fix it. Multiple chances. I'm saying if you have software engineers working on it sending all these updates and you still can't make it work, maybe it's not the software. Maybe, just maybe, this thing is broke!
Hey Bob, I'm surprised your still trying to track this down. A couple of questions,
Do the updates successfully download from the computer?
If the updates do successfully download, does the error code get thrown when you actually try to do the update on the Jeep?
If it is when trying to download the Jeep, I would consider taking the Jeep back to the dealer and having the PCM re-flashed. There was a similar case a while back when the reason a JK that was also purchased used had an adjustment made to the PCM to compensate for steering wheel centering. Same kind of stuff reported and Superchips had difficulty tracking it down.
Also, you made mention in a previous post about something on the Flashpaq forum that I couldn't find. Can you post a direct link to this so I can follow along?

When is the 2010 update coming out? I have had my flashpaq since december waiting for the update for my new jeep. Taking a 3000 mile road trip in 2 days and it would of been nice to have. I am now considering selling mine as it is pointless to keep anymore
JPop, Here's the Superchip Forum site. Click on "Problems" I think mine is number two on the list right now.

My problem is the one listed as "Flashpaq 3875 General error"
It downloads fine. There is a complete list of what happens on that superchip forum page under my problem. I wrote out everything that happens. I'm going to try to return it. The jeep cut out on the higway after I tried one of the updates and I don't want it messing up my Jeep's computer.

OK Bob, I saw it, I was looking under the Jeep section before.
It doesn't look like there is an easy remedy, and I would be concerned with the power loss incident. My guess is unrelated, but something I would get checked out and possibly have the PCM reflashed or replaced. Just way too many people with successful installs of the Flashpaq to think that the issue lies elsewhere.
Also, as previously mentioned, the one guy that I know of with similar circumstances had a Dealer PCM reflash to correct an issue. The Flashpaq wouldn't install and after a while he gave up. Hard to say what I would do as a solution is apparently going to take some time and when the wife says she won't drive it you probably have little to find resolve.

Lots of stuff on this on the Superchips forum. The response has been "we are in deep testing". If you call their customer service, the response seems to be a canned response of "should be this Friday" however, Ron (the forum guy representing Superchips) keeps saying there is no ETA. He is hopefull it will be soon but he does not know. I guess the 2010's computer is different enough that its been difficult for them to reprogram...hmm....
I've been waiting since December as well and I'm getting a bit anxious. My backup plan is the Max Energy but I don't know much about that yet.
