I just downloaded my 87 octane tune at sea level and can tell you, I wouldn't have needed to put a turbo muffler to hear my RPMs to avoid stalling all the time if I had this first. The pedal response is perfect, the power starts at 1200 RPM if I step off the clutch in first with no gas and floor it after its walking away!

Love it. 4.88s, 32s, 6m trans. It actually feels quick now, gears did about 80% IMO, tune polished it up nicely. NO complaints, shoulda been delivered this way. Can't tell its a drive by wire now. Perfect.

I returned mine to the stock setting before going to the dealer for the hot oil recall. I had a 30 mile drive back home before I reprogrammed and I think that the jeep had more power with the new flash from the dealer than before with the 87 tune. I then updated the fpaq and reinstalled. It seems to me that it has more balls than ever.May just be in my head but I don't think so. I can almost tolerate it now, not really, pos v6.

I have 2 JKs, 1 automatic and 1 manual...

If I purchase a Superchips Flashpaq and VIN lock it to the automatic will I still be able to use it on my manual to adjust/modify all the original non-VIN locked parameters?

Unfortunately no, there is not enough memory in the product to handle two vin's due to the fact that Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep files are enormous in size. You would have to return the primary vehicle to stock to tune the second.

When you plug the programmer into a vehicle and tune it, it automatically locks to the Jeeps VIN until returned to the stock settings.

Default Speedo fix

Without flipping thru all 184 pages of this thread... Have ya'll had trouble setting the tire size to get the speedo to read correctly. I have set it to 35" for my 35" tires, but it way off. If I set it to 31.75" then it is just about right on the money... Anyone else experience this?

Did you read through the intruction manual that came with the Flashpaq? You have to measure the diameter of your tires and enter that number instead of using the numbers on the sidewall...they are rarely ever correct.

I had same issue. Proper measuring did NOT get me the correct speedo calibration. I had to use a lower size for the programmer than what my tires measure (and I used every possible method of measuring them!) I am at about 0.5" less than what my tires measure using the various methods I tried. Speedo is still not perfect but its only off about 1-2mph now at 65 which is pretty much normal differences anyway.
