That should do it. The only other thing I would recommend is to get some start / stop history in the computer. A Jeep tech told me to drive it for a couple of days if possible and they won't be able to see a blank spot in the history if they go looking. I was told that's not something they normally look for but if it's a warranty issue or they need to look at the history to find a computer fault it may raise a flag. In the real world you can clear the history without a Flashpaq so they can't deny your warranty soley based on that but better safe than sorry. You did good. It appears a lot of people neglect to reset the tire size and TPMS.

Just bought one of these off a fellow JK member and am still a little hesitant on tuning my motor after hearing of people having problems with "pinging". If I decide not to Tune the motor can I still adjust throttle respone and re calibrate speedo and tpms system without tuning the motor?

I'm not a FP expert by any means so someone please correct me if I mis-state something. You can do the throttle response, tire size, TPMS, fan temps and all the other features without tuning your Jeep. The pinging issue appears to be limited to certain areas of the country with different blends of gas or elevations or whatever. My personal opinion, which is worth what you're paying for it; Install the 87 tune or towing tune and see if you have any pinging. I run the towing tune with 87 octane with zero pinging. This seems to give me the best all around performance / mileage. Good luck with it.

Thank you for the info. I do plan on tuning but wanted to make sure if I wasn't happy with it that the chip wouldn't be rendered completely useless. My main concern is that my motor continues to be reliable and last I am hoping to get well over 200,000 km out of it.

Default My Flashpaq experience

Ok, so this is one of the first upgrades I did to my 08 JK 4 dr Sahara. The reason I did this upgrade first was because I would be able to reprogram for my other upgrades on the fly, i.e. larger gears, tires, etc.
Anyway I ordered the Flashpaq at O'rieleys on a Tuesday and went back and picked it up the next day. Now when it comes to messing around with a vehicles Computer I get a little nervous based on some experiences I had with my 05' Chevy Colorado. Needless to say thats a whole different story.
So I downloaded the Superchips software to my PC laptop and registered with a new user name and password but for some reason it kept saying "requires email verification" so I called Superchips and they couldn't have been friendlier. They were able to verify my email and even reset my user name and password and next thing you know badda boom badda bing I'm online and downloading my flashpaq. The next day I followed the instructions for programming my JK and downloaded the 87 octane program and I couldn't be happier. I immediately noticed HP increase and better Throttle response. I've been running it about 3 weeks now and have noticed my fuel mileage increase by about 3mpg and thats between me and my wife's lead foot. All in all I'm very happy with it and can't wait to see how it does as I upgrade my JK.

Got my Flashpaq from Dave at Northridge4x4 yesterday and couldn't be happier. Registered it, updated and flashed my JK. I'm not one rave about "performance enhancing" products but this really did make a pretty good difference in how the vehicle operates. I can now get on the freeway from a short on ramp and not be afraid that I'm going to get rear ended

Default Superchips Flashpaq

I ordered my Flashpaq form Truck Customizers. $339 with free next day delivery. It did indeed arrive early the next day. I downloaded the Superchips software to my laptop and registered with a new user name and password but it kept saying "requires email verification". I called Superchips and was told that they were having some issues with there server. They took my phone number and asked if they could call me back. Just as we hung up the issues must have been resolved because the updates were happening They called back a few minutes later to confirm. Of course I had to immediately go and try this tuner out! I plugged it into the JK and followed the prompts at one point I received an error. I called Superchips back and found out that I wasn't turning the key all the way on (there are two clicks before the starter engages) my fault! Great customer service so far. I was successful in programming my JK. Now I need to go try it out! Thanks for all the information provided here. It helped a great deal in deciding on this purchase.

Wow this is a monster thread... can someone tell me if I will benefit from a Superchip? I have a 2010, 2-door auto, with 33" tires and 3.73 gears. Thanks for the input!
