Me too . Went 87 tune with 89 octave and good now

 

i'm not jpop, so i have no mechanical or otherwise explanation for this, but i noticed slight pinging on 87 tune with 87 octane. hit the trails for the weekend and switched to the crawl tune. afterwards, set it back to 87 and i still use 87 octane and have not noticed pinging. this was several months ago. again, no explanation for this, just offering up my experiences.

I have a similar story. When I first did the 87 tune, I was getting considerable pinging and after a couple tanks of gas it decreased A LOT, but I would still get a little when under load at highway speeds (going up hills and such). I recently plugged the Flashpaq up to adjust my gas pedal sensitivity and it re-installed the 87 tune. I noticed a performance increase and not much pinging at all right after the re-tune. Now, after a couple tanks, I don't really notice any pinging. I can't explain the performance increase with the same tune, buy I was driving pretty easy to see what kind of mileage I could get. Maybe my jeep "learned" my driving style and this is it's way of telling me I was driving like a sissy???

 

How do you adjust the gas pedal sensitivity? What are the perks?
